How can you show your country ties in your visitor or tourist visa application?

One of the most important things you have to show in your visa documents while applying for a visitor/tourist visa is your deep-rootedness with your country. It is crucial to provide evidence that you have strong ties to your country of origin and that you intend to return after a temporary visit to any foreign Country. This will help the visa officer to determine that you are not intending to immigrate illegally and that you have valid reasons to return to your home Country. If you cannot establish strong ties with your country, the chances for refusal goes up.

There are various ways you can demonstrate your ties with your home country and I will try to explain you this important factor of your visa application in this article.

1. Family/social ties:

If you mention your family relations in your visa application and your cover letter, it assures the visa officer that you have people waiting for you return in your Country. You must provide detailed information about your family which include your immediate family; parents, spouse, children, and siblings. You can also provide information about your social network, and your friends. The more active social network you have in your country, the more you can convince the visa officer that you will leave the said country before the expiry of the authorized time. You can further substantiate the family ties by providing the documents such as marriage certificate, birth certificates, or Ration card etc.

2. Professional Ties:

Another way by which you can establish a strong connection with your country is by showing your professional status in your Country. You must to provide detailed information about your profession or Job. You can provide your employment documents such as a letter from your employer stating your position, salary, and tenure of your job or a no objection certificate from your employer about your visa application. This will show the visa officer that you have a stable and continuing job in your home country which you would not want to abandon. Other professionals, like businessmen or agriculturists must show the relevant ownership documents depicting that are professionally stable in their Country.

3. Property ownership:

If you have a property under your name in your country of residence which includes a house, land, and other assets you must provide the documentation registration of all your properties that will provide evidence of your vested interest in your home Country. Documents such as property registrations, car ownership certificates, or any other significant assets you own can be submitted.

4. Income Proofs (Income tax returns):

Submitting your income tax returns can certify your financial stability and show that you have been paying taxes in your home country. It shows your annual income and sources of your income. These are the main documents for visitor visa applications for mostly all the big Countries.

5. Net worth certificate / CA report:

The net worth certificate as usually prepared and certified by the Chartered Accountant (CA) is a explicit document that demonstrates an applicant's net worth. It must incorporate the immovable and movable assets of the applicant, his/her parents, siblings or even the properties of the grandparents (paternal). It reveals the economic ties of the applicant with the home Country.

6. Travel history:

If you have previously traveled to other countries and returned to your home country as per scheduled duration, it demonstrates your past travel behavior and strengthens your case for returning back from any future trip too. Your past travel history is a guide for an Officer to allow you to travel to a new Country, and it is seen that applicants with a good travel and visa history hold better chances for the visa grant.

7. Intended itinerary:

Provide a detailed planned itinerary of your trip and also your return date to show that you have only planned to stay temporarily in the visiting country. The detailed itinerary also shows your travel plan and credibility for the visit. Itinerary is one of the major documents for any tourist visa. Note, you don’t normally need itinerary if you are invited by someone from your inviting Country, and you are applying as a visitor.

In conclusion, it is crucial to provide as many supporting documents as possible to demonstrate your ties to your home country. Constructing a convincing case that depicts how you intend to return back to your home Country, along with proof that ties you to it, is essential to raise chances of successful visa approval
